Meet The Coffee + Scribbles & Chai Collaboration
Cottagecore just landed at & Chai.
We’re so happy to finally share our latest collaboration, and this time it’s with Daphne Shen, ESEA illustrator and founder of Coffee + Scribbles. Daphne is inspired by plants, stars, books, flowers and magic, and it made perfect sense to create a warm fruity-floral Soy Candle with her, along with a hand-illustrated sticker sheet.
The candle evokes a warm fruity-floral dream, perfect for balmy summer evenings sheltering at home, whilst the sticker sheet is perfect for adding to your laptop, journals, water bottles and beyond.
Meet the Daisybutter & Chai Collection
Never has spring felt more welcome than now. These longer days, blue skies and sunnier stretches feel like absolute heaven. Winter was long and dreary, but it was full of big moments from us. Our Etsy launch, selling out in ONE day, hitting 100 sales then 200 and now more than 600, our first Black Friday sale, our website launch… it’s been a really fun season for us.
Although traditional candle season might be ending, we know that you love candles as much as we do. We’ve got a few exciting things up our sleeves that we can’t wait to share with you. Plus, we have plenty of lighter, fresher scents that you can now explore easily in the nav bar! They’re perfect for lighting after the obligatory spring clean or a Sunday morning cleaning session. We’ve been reaching for The Nooklings and Wisp.
Anyway, this was just a short little update from us both to say ‘thank you’ for being part of our wonderful & Chai community. We’re SO excited to share all of our newness with you – don’t forget to subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to hear all about it.
Introducing Our First Charity Product
This week, we launched our first ever charity product. With Lunar New Year on the horizons, we wanted to create a beautiful, uplifting fragrance to refresh your homes whilst we’re all staying at home. Chinese New Year is certainly going to look a lot different for us this time around.
Amidst a global pandemic where hate crimes and open racism continues to rise, we wanted our product to back a charity close to our hearts, which is why 10% of all proceeds from our Chinese New Year bundle will be donated to the Chinese Mental Health Association (CMHA), a UK-based charity who support the Chinese community and actively help them with their mental health struggles.
Mental health continues to be a taboo in many East and South East Asian cultures, and so we’re proud to do our part in breaking down the stigmas and helping those in need find the help they need.
In case you haven’t checked it out yet, we teamed up with fellow British-Chinese maker Winnie from The Winnie Project, to create a little at-home bundle. Our limited edition Soy Candle fragrances homes with lucky orange and clementine notes, whilst Winnie’s gorgeous hand-illustrated prints can be framed or sent as cards. Plus, every order will come with a free scratch-off Fortune Card.
Scent is an incredibly personal sense. With the innate ability to drift and compile your thoughts to memories new and old, we’re especially curious to share our own scent stories and how we came upon each of our Soy Candle fragrances.
When we thought about adding a warm, ‘go-to’ scent to the line-up, we instantly thought of adorable, dependable Isabelle. Isabelle Soy Candle is our elevated vanilla; creamy and sweet to toast the senses.
The Fragrance
Soft floral notes of ylang-ylang, French vanilla, apricot, sandalwood and jasmine.
Isabelle is a brilliant fragrance for all year round. In the summer, its creamy sweetness lifts your home, whilst throughout winter, it cloaks your sanctuary in complete comfort. Top notes of ylang-ylang and orris melt into French vanilla and honey, before sinking into jasmine and musk.
Shop Isabelle Soy Candle now, and find it in Soy Tealights – The Warm Collection.
